60 Years in Business
Significant developments in the field of polymer chemistry in the 1950s led to a surge in the production of plastics in Europe and the USA. During this period, the company Vinora established itself as one of the pioneers of the Swiss polyethylene packaging industry, exerting a major influence on the early history of plastics in Switzerland.
The company Petroplast was founded in the late 1970s, prompting many years of intense competition between these two pioneering specialists in the production of flexible packaging. The two companies merged in 1992 and, in early 2000, they began marketing their products under the name Petroplast AG.
These 60 years of accumulated experience in the industry enabled Petroplast AG to build up outstanding levels of production know-how and industry expertise – and it is these two factors which are the key to the company's ongoing success in developing innovative, future-oriented products.
